Greetings beautiful people!

We're in Week 10 of my promise to bring some goodness to your inbox every week.

What a joy it is!

Since I made the commitment all kinds of scrumptious opportunities have made themselves known.

This week's word is a review of yet another James McBride gem: The Color of Water

It's new to me even if it's been out for a while.

The autobiographical narrative whose title is inspired by something that his mother used to say about God, is really spectacular.

I hope I've done some justice to it in my review!

Brownstones

And for the beauty:

For some visual inspiration on Alligator Woods Creations

this week I'm going old school and showcasing the

gorgeousness that is Brooklyn, New York!

My watercolor and ink creation entitled "Brownstones" is a tribute to my many hours spent wandering around Flatbush in Summer soaking in the many sights and sounds.

Feel free to check it out here!

Before you go, Well-Read Black Girl's Virtual Festival is coming up!

Tracye McQuirter's 10,000 Black Women 21-Day Fresh Start is still around for one more day!

****

Spirit Rock is still rocking its BIPOC sangha series every Sunday!

These gatherings have been food for my soul!

I recently discovered a fabulous sister who is moving mountains: Rha Goddess!

Found her on Marie Forleo's podcast and have started following her work--very cool!

Well, that's it for this week...

Until soon!
