In this installment of Ask A Pinup we got to chat with one of our favorite GGR community models, Ruby Stardust (@the_ruby_stardust), about her thoughts on the current pinup scene. |

GGR asks: What do you believe is the most important part of pinup?
"I believe pinup is all about being playful and expressive! Everyone has their own unique personality and style within this community. Seeing other women have fun and being creative is what it's all about. I truly believe that by creating a space for all women to shine in their own unique way is exactly what the world needs and sets a great example for the girls and young women in our lives. (This is also what I LOVE about GGR!) ❤"

GGR asks: What is the one best piece of advice you can give fellow pinups on beauty and fashion?
"When it comes to beauty/fashion advice I'm a big believer in playing up your strengths and experimenting with the rest! For example, I love my legs so I tend to show those off more in a photo shoot. But, I don't have a lot of curves so I try to wear swing dresses or fit & flare a lot. If I do wear a wiggle I usually add a belt to create the illusion of a smaller waist.
Also, it's good to try new things and experiment. I get asked a lot about my makeup. The truth is I've watched a lot of YouTube videos and spent some time trying to master various tricks and trying out new techniques. The key is to not get overwhelmed and change too much of your routine at once. Instead of trying to master a whole look right away I would work on one thing at a time. For a month I'll focused on winged liner. Another month might be contouring, etc. My life is crazy busy but I found playing with one little thing at a time allowed me to improve all my skills in the long term."
Thank you for your time, Ruby (and we love you too!) You can keep up with Ruby on Instagram at @the_ruby_stardust.

It’s spooky season, so we’ve been revisiting some of our old favorite movies about things that go bump in the night. Check out our latest blog post for a brief look at some of the most iconic horror films from the 1930s through the 1950s, and why these films are still so relevant today.
