We caught up with the gorgeous Jojo Dynamo for a quick Q & A! Here's what she had to say:
GGR asks: "They say 'the devil is in the details,' and this can be especially true for pinup fashion. What type of details do you find most important for your pinup style?"
She says: "The devil in the details, ha! Never thought of it that way but details are certainly a worthy hint of thoughtfulness to one's look. Like toppings that make an ice cream sundae picture perfect!
As a pinup on a budget it has worked for me to start my wardrobe with 4 of my favorite colors. For example: red, black, white, and blue are my most worn colors. I have invested in belts, jewelry, shoes and cardigans in these colors as they are all staple pieces to pulling ALL your looks together!
As you choose your accessories, look for objects you like in your color. Black records, red strawberries, white pearls, blue bracelets. These little toppings are what's going to make your outfit so delicious that the devil just might drool over it."
Great tip, Jojo! 🧡 |

Weeki Wachee Springs, Florida has been the home of a legendary mermaid show since 1947, in which talented and glamorous swimmers perform in a crystal-clear natural spring. The audience watches these timeless performances from a man-made theater that is embedded in the side of the spring and submerged 16 feet below the surface. The Weeki Wachee show was created by Newton Perry, a former US Navy Seal Instructor and noted swim performer, who turned this stunning natural feature into the ultimate 1950s roadside attraction. |
|
The mermaids of Weeki Wachee originally performed in swimsuits due to the bulk and unmaneuverability of post-WW2 mermaid tail options, but modern mermaids now perform in thin fabric fishtails. The performers use a system of free-floating breathing tubes to breathe, instead of bulky SCUBA equipment. The ladies and gents in the spring perform ballet-like choreography as well as fan-favorite tricks like eating and drinking under water. |
