We caught up with the lovely Miss Lily Maana for a quick Q & A! Here's what she had to say:

"Q: These are definitely trying times for everyone, in quarantine/stay at home. What are you doing to keep your pinup spirits up?"

She says:

"These are definitely trying times!!! I do my best to keep my spirit up a few different ways. First, I walk my puppy every day and make sure to get my work-out in. Secondly, I zoom chat with my girl friends. And thirdly, I continue to buy pieces from GGR. Getting that special package in the mail keeps a feeling of normalcy for me and I just love it!"

Here are some of the highlights:

Hair Tips:

Using faux poodle hair pieces is MIND BLOWING. It cuts styling your hair down to literal minutes, and I get SOOOO many "omg your hair is amazing, how long did that take you" comments 😁💘
Get yourself a wig for days you need a quick and easy style. You can leave it pre-styled or style it in advance so you can save time getting ready the day of!
For perfect Betty bangs, cut a bun doughnut in half and tuck your “bangs” around it.
Sleep in curlers? Replace the hard plastic part of foam rollers with the soft pillow rollers for a more comfortable night!
For the easiest pinup-perfect hair style, think HEADSCARVES. They’re also perfect for disguising that awkward in-between stage of growing out your bangs or for when you want to wait and wash another day. Hair flowers & snoods are also perfect for instant pinup hair!
Have an event coming up and no time to cover your roots? Use eyeshadow to cover them for the big day! It’s less irritating than the spray-on products, and is one less product to tote around.
Those gorgeous pinup hairstyles actually work better on day-old (*cough* or older) hair! You can use dry shampoo to add texture to too-clean hair, or do a wash with just hot water (no shampoo) if you absolutely need to wash before an updo.
DIY a perfectly-matched hair rat by saving the loose pieces from your brush and wrapping them in a hair net. You can tuck these “rats” into your updos for more volume.
Pomade is LIFE. Both to keep the hair frizzles down and much much more manageable to create victory rolls etc.

Makeup & Accessory Tips:

Use medical tape for a perfect winged eyeliner or cat-eye look - it’s less irritating than scotch tape! Putting tape on before doing any eyeshadow also gives a very, very nice clean line.
A good pair of magnetic lashes is such a treat! They stick to a magnetic eyeliner you apply, which is much easier than getting the hang of glue. Easier to remove too!
Crinolines & petticoats add the perfect amount of poof to any skirt or swing dress. P. S. Need an easy way to store your petticoat collection neatly? Try a hanging shoe rack!
Wear a super-stretchy slip under your petticoat or full skirt for easier restroom visits! Pull the whole slip up around your chest, stuff the layers of skirt and petticoat in, and take care of business with way less hassle!
Wearing your pretties around small children or on a windy day? Consider adding a pair of slip shorts or biker shorts underneath to prevent any unintended exposures. Bonus: also helps prevent chafed thighs!
Add a wide belt to cinch in your waist and lend an hourglass appearance to any figure.
Accessorize from head to toe!
Parasols are a classy pinup accessory that do double duty - they look fabulous AND they can add a bit more sun protection during sunny car shows, if you’re prone to burning!
