SANJEVANI CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
These times can be very trying for all of us. As we mentioned in our previous newsletter, preparedness and calm is key for getting us through this. We want you to know that we are dedicated to your health and wellbeing. As such, House of Sanjevani is still open for business at this time.
We can accommodate your appointment with Dr. Sunil Pai (Integrative medicine and Allergy consultations and follow-up appointments) or Maureen Sutton AyuD RYT LMT (Ayurvedic medicine and Nutrition consults) via Zoom teleconferencing (you can download the free software at Zoom.us prior to your appointment and we will send you an email with the link to open it at the time of appointment).
For all routine lab testing (Tricore, LabCorp, Qwest) and functional medicine testing, we can refer you to a mobile Phlebotomist, where you can obtain your labs without going to the larger lab companies’ draw stations in order to minimize exposure.
We are following CDC guidelines on preventative measures so that our storefront, office, treatment rooms, and bathrooms are cleaned after each patient/customer visit. If coming to purchase products in person, our staff will assist in helping you shop and select your items to minimize handling of our products. All of our products can also be ordered online and shipped to your home.
Yoga classes will continue as normal, as will FloatPod and Bemer appointments with precautions taken between each session.
If you are planning a visit in person, we ask all patients to follow these guidelines: - The day before any medical appointments in person, call the office. Be prepared to answer the below questions on risk factors.
- If possible, please come by yourself. Do not bring children, family members or friends, unless you need assistance.
However, if you have any of these risk factors: - Have a fever, a cough or shortness of breath
- Traveled outside of the continental United States In the last 28 days
- Traveled to China, Japan, South Korea, Italy or Iran
- Had close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus? (Close contact means having been within 6 feet of that person for an extended time, or being exposed to their cough or sneeze.)
You can proceed to your nearest hospital that is covered by your insurance or these drive through testing locations - Lovelace Parking Lot on Martin Luther King Downtown (closed Mondays)

If you do not have insurance the tests should be covered, so please do not avoid getting tested if you have risk factors and/or symptoms. Visit the CDC Homepage for more information on Coronavirus precautions and updates.
Finally for strengthening your immune system and keeping healthy, we would recommend Sanjevani Glucan 300 and/or Beta Kids, Vitamin D3 and Coated Silver. For additional recommendations click here.
A) Sanjevani Vitamin D3. At the minimum, we recommend taking this for general immune support. Recommended Use: The average dose is 5,000 IU per day with a meal that has some healthy fat (avocados, nuts, seeds, olive oils). Vitamin D3 is fat soluable. It is absorbed up to 60% better with fat. The recommended target goal for your immune system is between 50-100 ng/ml on blood tests (if you don’t know your number ask your doctor for a blood test to check). For those with more serious health conditions such as cancer, chronic inflammatory or autoimmune diseases the goal is around 70 to 100 ng/ml. B) Sanjevani Glucan 300 contains the highest amount of beta 1,3D Glucan on the market for immune support. In vivo and vitro studies showed it was the best for increasing Natural Killer cells (NK cells are important immune cells for fighting infections) and lowering inflammation, over and above more than 60 other dietary supplements derived from mushrooms, bran, oats and barley. Mushroom supplements contain about 20% of beta glucan. Sanjevani Glucan 300 provides a minimum of 83%. We also carry a children's gummy version called Beta Kids. Recommended Use: 2 capsules daily on empty stomach (for 45 minutes). For those with more serious health issues, or are currently sick, take one capsule for every 50 lbs. of body weight. C) Coated Silver by Noble Products is the most potent nano coated colloidal silver available. Most products are 11 ppm to 23 ppm in size, are ionic and bio-accumulate in the body. Coated Silver is 20,000 ppm! Studies show that this patented form of true colloidal silver does NOT bio-accumulate in the body and is excreted. It does NOT hurt the healthy probiotics in your gut and in vitro studies show it is very EFFECTIVE in protecting us from viruses and bacteria. This product can be taken when traveling to high risk areas or when sick. Recommended Use: 1 drop daily in beverage when traveling. When sick, one drop daily in a beverage for 3 to 10 days as needed.
The most important aspects of protection and prevention is washing your hands, using a tissue when you cough or sneeze, and avoiding close contact with people who are sick or if you are sick. Stay at home as much as possible and avoid large groups of people. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces at home, work, and school. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids and eat a healthy anti-inflammatory whole foods plant based diet. We will get through this one day at a time.
